Learning Objective 1: Analyze the functional definition of anxiety within a behavior-analytic framework as a cluster of operant and respondent behaviors evoked by signaled, upcoming aversive events.
Learning Objective 2: Interpret empirical data regarding the prevalence of clinically significant anxiety among individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Learning Objective 3: Discriminate between escape-maintained behaviors functionally related to environmental stressors and automatic reinforcement (such as stereotypic or ritualistic topographies) in clients with autism.
